#24 Really?...and a few other things...

Last night, while recovering from a migraine, I watched a TV show on the History Channel called 101 Gadgets That Changed the World. Guess what was #24...the sewing machine. Yep... I would have ranked it a little higher but I won't complain that is pretty high up! And it was right below the laptop (#23). Yes...the Sewing Machine changed my world!!

OK, I promised you I would tell you about a recent purchase. I have to say, I have ordered from a great number of online stores but few have been as pleasant as from 1 Choice 4 Quilting. Shawna is so ...what is the word I want to use to describe her...helpful, delightful, funny, and I could go on and on. Here is what I ordered from her...

But this is what I got...

Most of the goodies are "extras" that Shawna is becoming famous for. There is an extra yard of fabric that she offered to all who participated in her Jelly Roll Race. It was great fun ...check out all the beautiful quilts that were made here and here. This is mine...

This was one of those "I can't remember what it is" projects from my last post. It needs a back still.

But I digress... The aforementioned purchase was of Frolic by Sandy Gervais. It is adorable. Here it is all pinned on my design wall.

I don't have any real plans for the panel (isn't that owl super cute) but with the coordinates I am going to stitch up some burp clothes, a changing pad, and a cute little carrying bag for baby things. All the patterns are found in the magazine I was bragging about in my last podcast. Here is the cover (just in case you wanna pick it up):

Finally, let me tell you about a great new Swap. It is called Stachtacular! It is going to be great fun. You mail in your fabric, they mail you fabric back (duh...that is what a swap is all about)...but there is a twist with this one.... You have to agree to abstain from buying fabric during Stashtacular!! *GULP* They are going to be posting a bunch of tutorials to help you use up your scraps/stash. (I need more projects right?)
