Episode 16 - Change is in the Air

In this episode I chatter on about the major change that has taken place in my life this week and the way it has affected my life - all aspects of it.

As always you can listen online on my PodOmatic site or via iTunes

I promised a couple of pictures.

First up, the new dresser in my studio...

She needs a couple new knobs - but she is a beaut!
Now some pictures of my winnings. I took so many pictures that I had to put them in a collage or else this post would be super long.

You can find out more about this collection on the designer's blog...here.
I also promised a link to Clover & Violet's Welcome Baby Tutorial Series. There have already been two posts in that series so go check them out. Here is the button....

Don't forget I need a blogger for my next episode. The interview can be via email, telephone or skype. If you are interested email me.

Thank you for listening!

  2. lol, when the podcast started I thought to myself, hmmm why is your mother's Tassimo at your house! ... economic sense my arse ... it's a bit oTT to hijack your mother just to get her hot chocolate maker (just kidding! hehe)

Speaking from insider knowledge, the Goodwill stores here in upstate New York (13-or-so stores) there is a policy where staff are not allowed to purchase items until they have been on display for 1 week. If other Goodwills don't have that policy then they jolly well should!

... oh, and maybe if something doesn't appear in the store it's possibly because it's been listed on the Shop Goodwill website (www.shopgoodwill.com) - items that are worth more than the $2-5 that people are willing to pay in-store can get 2 or 3 times as much online, so shop is an eBay-style site the group runs (so it doesn't have to incur the eBay fees!) ...

oh... now I understand... you moved your mother in so that you had an excuse to organize the spare room and make over your studio! admit it, you've been rumbled! ;)

Oh, and that's an impressive prize, all that fabric! wonderful!!

  3. You asked about the Christmas ornament ... can't you use your jewelry fittings to make an ornament... that way you are using your craft items and making a nice gift fulfilling your commitment.

Maybe you can get your mom interested in either quilting or crafting with the stuff you no longer want to use.

Donations of craft items to girl scouts, nursing homes are usually welcome and go to those that could use it. I would include simple patterns that can be used by those you gift.

  6. Miss Rhonda,

Your winnings are in wonderful colors and I do like those modern prints. There is so much fabric printed these days I don't know how you keep up.

I love your dresser and I also wonder if your Mama may become a quilter being so close to your creative space. It may infect her...

  7. I haven't posted before because I couldn't figure out how, but I do so enjoy your podcast. I live in Atlanta and am quite familiar with Cumberland Gap. We used to go hiking/camping up there when my kids were little. It's really a beautiful area. Keep,up the good work!
