It's time...2012 is here! how exciting. The new year brings about a feeling of starting over. A time to leave old things behind and discovering new adventures. Well that is true for the 2012 Finish-A-Long but in a slightly different way. We are going to discover new adventures by digging out old things...fun right?
Here are the prizes up for grabs this quarter...

At the end of the quarter we will have some fun tutorials from Jennie @ Clover & Violet, Katy @ The Littlest Thistle, Nicke @ kiss kiss….quilt, Melissa @ Happy Quilting, Sharon @ Craizee Corners and Leanne @ She Can Quilt.
A quick run-down on how this works...At the beginning of each quarter you link up your blog post which includes a summary of the projects you intend to complete in that quarter (see mine here). Then at the end of the quarter you link up your blog post (or Flickr pictures if you have more than one project and only one blog post) with the summary of the projects you completed in that quarter. It is the post-quarter linky party that the prizes will be drawn from. Simple huh?
All the rules are listed on the 2012 FAL page so be sure to check those before linking up.
I think that just about covers it. If you have any questions please let me know. I would love to see the 2012 FAL button (at the top of this post & here) on your blogs if you are participating. Please link it back to my 2012 FAL page. I created this page so you will always have the information you need at your fingertips. Enough rambling from me...get linking!! BTW The Linky Party will run for 7 days - hopefully giving you plenty of time to blog about your plans for this quarter and then link up.

Having spent 2 hours already on today's post, I have this scheduled for tomorrow lol. Looking forward to taking part anyway :o)
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm in the race!
ReplyDeleteSince I'm slow...and sometimes crazy...are we allowed to create a blog with multiple things we want to finish? then at the quarter, we post all the ones we have finished, so we'd get more than one entry? And does it have to be quilts? or can it be other things as well?
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! I saw Leanne's post about it. Can't believe I haven't run into your blog before either. :)
ReplyDeletewasn't sure I was going to join as I'm really hopeless with UFO's but you know how much I want the Aurifil *wink*
ReplyDeleteHmmmm I just realised that I was still in "secret stalker" ville and not yet an actual "official" member of your posse. So now I have remedied said fact :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Rhonda! I will try do this tomorrow because I'm just about to publish my QAYG tute for today...
I've done pretty well at emptying my WIP drawer but now it's just the really HARD stuff to go. So I know I'll definitely need this motivator :)
xx
Great idea, thank you for hosting. It should give me the incentive to finish a few more of my quilts.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea Rhonda! Love seeing you around blog land after Stashtacular last year! I finally signed up for GFC so you'll see more of me! Thanks for the giveaways!
ReplyDeleteLovely idea - great to be getting more involved in the quilting community too - thank you for this opportunity xxx
ReplyDeleteHopes and dreams for this quarter are now officially documented. Thanks for the motivation to finish these projects!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea - hopefully I'll get a post written in time...if not I'll be a cheerleader this time round and concentrate on my Winter Stitching List (progress seems abysmal at the moment!!)

ReplyDeleteI am loving checking out everyone's WIP's. Such great projects! AND I can't believe I was able to make a mosaic and link it! My daughter and hubby are always bugging me about never finishing projects, so this challenge should make everyone around here happy!
ReplyDelete(BTW, I am also known as PatinWA55.)
So what exactly qualifies as a UFO? Do we have to have started cutting or piecing for to qualify?
ReplyDeleteYou know I need to know so I can sit in the front of the class and be even more annoying. :)
I goofed and didn't get a post up before the deadline but I think I'm going to play along anyway!
ReplyDeleteI just like the person before missed the deadline to post my goals for this quarter. Too bad to as this sounded like a fun idea. I was just waiting for a day to take pictures since I get home usually past dark. I wish it was a bit longer than 7 days to post, since it is for a whole quarter. Oh wells, maybe I can remember next next time around.
ReplyDeletei got a post up but couldnt figure how to linky linky - am still going to play along
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog and would LOVE to join this quarter - have the entries already closed?
